Twitter rolls out new voice tweet feature for iOS devices

Twitter is currently in an update spree, and they are continuously updating their platform with a lot of exciting features. Last week, Twitter introduced a new feature, Twitter fleets to share fleeting thoughts which will disappear after 24 hours, similar to Instagram stories. Recently, Twitter launched a new voice tweet feature for iOS devices.

Twitter's latest feature will let you tweet out your voice. While composing a new tweet, users will now have an option to add voice tweets in the bottom left corner next to add photos from the camera roll or gallery option. Users can add also text along with their voice tweets.

The latest voice tweet feature comes with a limit of 140 seconds per tweet. If your voice message is longer than that, it will be automatically threaded up to 25 Tweets. Users can currently record voice tweets only as original tweets, and it is not possible to add voice tweets in replies or retweet with comments as of now.

Twitter voice tweet functionality is currently available only on the iOS devices, but we are expecting this feature to be available for the Android platform sooner or later. Voice tweet attachments will carry the user's profile picture as a static picture, and it will not refresh if the user updates their profile picture. Tapping on someone's voice tweet will play the audio, and it will also automatically play other voice tweets in the thread for a seamless experience. When a user taps the play option, it will automatically minimize in an audio dock at the bottom of their screen so that the user can continue listening as they scroll through twitter.

Twitter is rolling out some nifty features in recent times, but the long-awaited edit option on twitter is still on due. We are hoping that Twitter will soon bring the tweet edit option as it will be super handy and useful for most of the users.
