Galaxy Unpacked event is round the corner. Here is what you can expect from Samsung's upcoming virtual event

Samsung is all set to unveil its flagship Note 20 series in its first online-only Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5th. In this event, Samsung is expected to introduce a bunch of smartphones like Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Flip 5G, and Samsung Galaxy Z fold 2. In addition to smartphones, Samsung may unveil a few accessories like updated Galaxy Buds and Samsung watch in this event.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Series

The showstopper of the Galaxy Unpacked event is obviously, Galaxy Note 20 series. Samsung may launch 2 or 3 Note 20 smartphones, namely Galaxy Note 20, Note 20 Plus, and Note 20 Ultra in the Galaxy Unpacked event. But some reports also point out that Galaxy Note 20 Plus will be replaced by the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. We are expecting to receive more updates regarding this in the coming days.

Samsung Galaxy Note series is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 865+ or Exynos 992 process. In India, Samsung usually launches its smartphones with its inhouse Exynos processors, and we can safely assume that the Indian variant will most probably sport an Exynos 992 chip based on the 5 nm process. According to some sources, the S pen in Note 20 series will also act as a pointer, which will come handy for many people.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Series will sport a camera bump similar to the S20 series. Reports also suggest that Note 20 Ultra can do only up to 50X space zoom instead of 100X zoom seen on S20 Ultra. Samsung might have taken this step to improve the real-life performance of the periscope lens instead of going with fancy numbers. The other specifications of the smartphone remain unconfirmed at this moment. But, what's confirmed is, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will launch in Mystic Bronze color option, and it looks damn gorgeous. The new color was previously spotted on Samsung's Russian site (soon taken down), and Samsung confirms the same in the Galaxy Unpacked event teaser video.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series is expected to be priced upwards $999, and Galaxy Note 20 series will sport 120 Hz high refresh display as standard. Samsung will launch 5G versions of the smartphone only in specific markets, whereas Samsung might launch only 4G versions in other regions, and this move will help Samsung to keep the cost under control.

Users can live stream the Galaxy Unpacked event on Samsung's official site at 7.30 PM IST. Galaxy Note 20 series is expected to go on sale on July 21st, whereas Fold 2 will take at least two more months to hit the shelves due to the ongoing pandemic situation.

Disclaimer: Since Samsung is yet to launch these smartphones officially, please take all the above information with a pinch of salt.
