Soon your smartglasses can capture images and record videos instantaneously with a single click. Seems fascinating right? Snapchat's parent company Snap is launching their Spectacles 2 and Spectacles 3 smart eyewear in India on July 4. Snap introduced these smartglasses back in 2018, and 2019 respectively, and it took so long for the brand to launch these smartglasses in India. 

Spectacles 2 

Spectacles 2 is the brand's entry-level smart eyewear offering in India. The smart glass has 2 cameras at the extreme ends of the frame and can capture HD photos or videos with a single click of a button. Spectacles 2 can wirelessly sync with Snapchat, and users can export their photos and videos on-the-go.

Snap Spectacles 2

Spectacles 2 comes with onboard storage of 4 GB and can store up to 150 videos and 3000 photos. On the connectivity front, Spectacles 2 has dual-band wifi and Bluetooth 4.0 support. The smartwatch also has dual mics to capture the sounds. Spectacles 2 is priced at Rs.14,999, and it is available in Sapphire, Onyx, and Ruby color options. 

Spectacles 3

Spectacles 3 is an updated model to the Spectacles 2, and it was launched in 2019, internationally. The smart glass boasts a circular look when compared to the cat-eye shaped one in the Spectacles 2. Spectacles 3 has 2 HD cameras to shoot 3D photos, and it can capture 3D videos at 60 fps. The 4 built-in microphones can capture high fidelity surround audio. The images from the two cameras are combined to form a geometric view of your surroundings.

Snap Spectacles 3

The cameras can capture images at 105 degrees FOV in 2D view and 86 degrees FOV in 3D view. Spectacles 3 can capture and sync up to 70 photos in a full charge, and the spectacles can store up to 100 3D videos and 1000 3D photos in the onboard 4 GB memory. Users can share their favorite moments in a 3D view in Snapchat or to other supported platforms like Youtube VR. Spectacles 3 is priced at Rs.24,999, and it is available in Mineral or Carbon color options. Spectacles 3 also comes with an in-box 3D viewer to view your content in 3D. On the connectivity front, Spectacles 3 has dual-band wifi and Bluetooth 5.0 support. In addition to this, Spectacles 3 also has GPS and GLONASS support. 

Spectacles 2 and 3 are available starting July 4 on Flipkart. Both Spectacles 2 and 3 have tinted glass to protect your eyes from UVA and UVB rays. The spectacle case can hold enough charge to recharge the glasses for up to 4 times, and Spectacles 3 also supports fast charging. The Spectacles 2 weighs at around 45.4 grams, and Spectacles 3 weighs at around 56.5 grams, respectively.
