Poco F2 Pro launched with Snapdragon 865 processor and 5G support

Back in 2018, Poco, a relatively new sub-brand of Xiaomi debuted in the Indian market with Poco F1. The smartphone stirred the industry with its flagship internals at a pocket-friendly price tag. Poco F1 became a huge success, and it once again recreated the magic created by the OnePlus with their OnePlus 1. Soon after the Indian launch, the brand debuted the smartphone in the European markets and enjoyed great success there too. The smartphone went on to receive rave reviews from the tech enthusiast, and it was the go-to smartphone in the sub $300 price point.

Ever since the loyal followers were waiting for a true spiritual successor for the Poco F1 and finally after 18 months, the brand launched a successor for the Poco F1 in the European market in the form of Poco F2 Pro. Let's find out whether Poco can recreate the magic once again. 


Poco F2 Pro is the rebranded Redmi k30 pro smartphone that was launched in China in the recent past. Poco F2 flaunts a 6.67" FHD+ AMOLED all-screen display and comes with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor and HDR 10+ support. The smartphone comes with a glass sandwich design with an aluminum frame, and it is covered by Gorilla Glass 5 protection to both the front and back.

The smartphone is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with Adreno 650 GPU and 5G support. Snapdragon 865 along with, liquid cooling can easily tackle anything you throw at it without breaking a sweat.

The smartphone is equipped with a quad-camera setup with the primary camera being a 64 MP Sony IMX 686 sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. The second camera is a 13 MP ultrawide lens with 113 degrees FOV. The final two cameras are 5 MP telemacro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. Since the smartphone boasts an all-screen display, the front-facing snapper comes in the form of a 20 MP pop-up camera.

The smartphone is fueled by a 4700 mAh battery with a 30 W fast charger included in the box. The smartphone is powered by Android 10 based on Miui 11 user interface customized for Poco.  The smartphone is available in 6+128 GB or 8+256 GB configurations with no room for expansion.

The smartphone is priced at €499 for the base variant and €599 for the higher-end model, and it is available in Neon Blue, Phantom White, Electric Purple, and Cyber Gray color options. 

The brand didn't announce the Indian pricing and availability of the smartphone. We will update once we get any official confirmation from the brand.
