Five easy ways to improve your internet connectivity during lockdown
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, most of the people are staying at home to prevent the virus spread. Internet consumption has increased by a significant margin, and due to this sudden surge, many people may find problems with stable internet connectivity. In this post, we will share five easy ways to boost your internet connectivity.

1. Turn off Wi-Fi in unused devices

One of the simplest ways to boost your Wi-Fi speed is by turning off the Wi-Fi in the unused devices. Connecting multiple devices to the same Wi-Fi network will tend to reduce your Wi-Fi speeds.

2. Use wired internet connection

If you want super-fast internet connectivity, use ethernet to connect your laptop or TV directly to the router. Connecting your devices through the ethernet cable may reduce flexibility, but it will significantly improve your internet speed as losses are much lower in a wired connection.

3. Optimal placement of Wi-Fi router

Place your Wi-Fi router on a table or shelf rather than placing it on the ground. Avoid intervention of any physical obstacles and electronic devices within the range of the Wi-Fi router as it can affect the internet speed.

4. Stream videos at low resolution

If you are streaming a lot of videos on the youtube or OTT platforms, then consider lowering the video resolution to avoid strain on your Wi-Fi or mobile network. You can reduce the data usage by lowering the streaming quality in the settings option.

5.Close the unwanted applications running in the background

Apps running in the background on laptops or mobile phones usually tend to consume a lot of data. Always close the apps running in the background once you complete the work in that particular app, by doing so, you can avoid wastage of data unnecessarily.

By following these five simple steps, you can easily improve your internet speed during the lockdown.
